Dexterized

First off, HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!

Yeah, as of late I’ve been inundated with American TV, via Germany LOL! I recently discovered the show DEXTER, from Showtime, so all my free time is catching up with that Meisterwerk.

I realize the rest of the planet already viewed the 6 or 7 seasons from the show over the years so no point going in to what it’s all about.

I’ll be starting season 3 soon. Like, tonight ha! At any rate, my favorite bit of the series so far has been LILA. I was bummed that Dexter took her out. No, not on a date. The ‘last dance’, so to say. Ever wonder what LILA, aka Jaime Murray plays in her own native scene in Britain?

I’m a fan. :)

Winehouse Was Clean

Here’s a little update for the few hundred of you that frequent this site. In case you haven’t heard and if you care, Amy Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system at the time of death.

Why does it matter? I think it’s important to have the facts clear, that’s all. She’s still dead. She’s never coming back. But her departure shouldn’t be based on any rumors or lies. So far, it’s unclear why she’s dead considering the day before she was at a doctor who wrote her off as being ‘okay’, relatively speaking of course. Also, the day of her death she was playing drums in her flat, until the neighbors complained. Later that night, she died. Go figure…

iPhone Movie – Paranmanjang

I figured it was just a matter of time before someone got around to making a real film, using iPhone as the camera. I'm really looking forward to checking this one out for sure. Some years ago, I made a film with my Partner using only iLife tools, however no one really cared about that breakthrough. The iPhone of course, is another story and with the continued growth and inevitable domination of Android based devices in the hand held marketplace, the iPhone needs as much noteworthy hype it can get!

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Acclaimed South Korean film director Park Chan-wook is wielding a new cinematic tool: the iPhone.

Park, director of the internationally known “Old Boy,” ”Lady Vengeance” and “Thirst,” said Monday that his new fantasy-horror film “Paranmanjang” was shot entirely on Apple Inc.’s iconic smartphone.

“The new technology creates strange effects because it is new and because it is a medium the audience is used to,” Park told reporters Monday.

Keanu My Sad Old Acquaintance

I don't know how many of you are hip to the occasional online meme's floating around, well, on the internet. It's not necessarily new but I had to share the SAD KEANU one's that are presently the hot meme on campus. Particularly because I use to know this guy back in the day. In fact, he played bass guitar more than once with me at the odd Hollyweird parties of that time.

This current phenomenon started from a Paparazzi photo showing Keanu somewhere alone, eating a sand which and judging by the picture, he appears to be sad. If you ask me, he could have simply been in thought. People do that too sometimes... thinking. Try it out. You might like it and who knows, it might just catch on. :)
