I figured it’s about time I posted something new, something positive. I’ve cooped myself up in my little studio world to work on a lot of new tracks for my band lately. In between I got caught up with producing a song for a new film, through one of my Los Angeles connections.
Now after listening to it several times I must say I am very, very pleased with the results. The song is called LOST AT SEA and it’s meant to portray that romantic, seafaring vibe that so many people have in their mind when they think about working on a ship or being out on the ocean.

Recently my rock trio KPB participated in the s.Oliver Band Contest. Basically, another corporate campaign to promote and transport a company’s Brand, disguised as a music competition. We were happy and thrilled to participate because we want to play our music in front of lots of people. Period.
Using traditional and alternative online marketing methods, none of which conflicted with the THEN posted TOS from s.Oliver, we managed to make our way to the top spot. Let me define our methods in a nutshell;
TRADITIONAL method
Begging your so-called FRIENDS and FANS to vote for you everyday. Basically, getting on their nerves to do something that frankly, they don’t really benefit from in any way but some comply because they have time, genuinely like/know you or simply have nothing better to do. Whatever the reason, it’s all good.
ALTERNATIVE method
Canvassing – collecting votes on location. Yes folks, pen and paper, iphone & ipad sign-ups, in 3 Cafes, 1 Nail Salon, 2 Theaters, 1 Fitness Center and my personal fave, outside of 2 s.Oliver Retail Locations. These votes were entered manually at a later time.
Opt-In Registrations – The majority of our 3000+ votes originated from people joining/subscribing some other website in the vast Empire Network which we are members of and at the signup page, gave their CHECKMARK allowing that website to use their contact info to support/vote KPB. Those Niche websites span the realms of Auto, TV & Music Entertainment, Adult, Restaurants and even Faith based subscribers.
That’s the scoop, like it or not, I don’t care but DON’T CALL MY BAND KPB CHEATERS.

Our members simply opted in upon registration to our network giving us the full legal Right to do so on their behalf from several server-based locations in Europe and the United States. We do not however, have the jurisdiction to reveal a members place of residence, as you might understand. If that information is necessary to qualify KPB’s 3000+ votes, then we will make our best efforts to produce such information.
After once again reading your terms of service, there is little contrary in this method of creating votes for the contestant KPB. It is our opinion that the decision to disqualify KPB is unjust and as such we cannot accept it.
We request that KPB be reinstated into competition with no penalty. Mr. Phillips has requested a personal , written apology which he will post on his website, as he feels this is a major insult and this will adversely affect his personal social network, consisting of over 60,000 Internet subscribers. Please Google “Kamary Phillips” to understand his presence online. The first 40 pages of results will relate to him.
I would advise you to read KPB’s twitter feed during the campaign period. (@KamaryPhillips) It is abundantly clear their role has been to motivate, rally and inspire. One entire days tweets, for example, was dedicated to helping the other bands that have very few votes.
We anticipate a prompt response and would greatly appreciate closure to this obvious misunderstanding and unfortunate occurrence today.

Once upon a time, like 10 years ago, I had my first so-called musical HIT with a song called 5 MINUTES. It’s a true story kind of tune about the past, present and a future hanging on a thin thread called Pregnancy, LOL!
Anyway, back then a Major Label snatched it up right away and we all had a crazy ride on the songs success. I’ve been lucky enough to have that experience a few times in my career and I’m right due for another round! It’s been a looooooooong time coming.
Recently in Berlin, I caught up with the young lady hottie that starred in the original video. Then, produced by big money, name director and subsequently had nothing to do with my vision nor what the song is actually about. Despite the video serving it’s professional purpose, I never liked it much.
Now I’d like to introduce to you the all NEW recording of a Kamary Phillips classic HIT, “5 MINUTES”!!! Also, stay tuned for a new video and I’ll once again feature the woman (Bille) to star in it. She’s down and Berlin’s only 2 hours away, ha!
“Shame on you!” shouted the ‘hardcore’ Winehouse fan to a Kamary Phillips fan after the two audience members heard Kamary’s original interpretation of Amy Winehouse’s urban hymn, REHAB. Conflicts arose after someone from the intimate crowd of about 150 shouted, “Better than the original and I don’t like the original!” Kamary humbly commented, “It’s just, different.”
Moments later, a riot ensued and the disgruntled Winehouse fan-atic was pummeled.
Now, without further adieu, the song that sole handedly ruined the night for so many previously innocent people. 
I’m having fun making these karaoke style videos lately. Call it a phase. I’d like to make some videos starring yours truly and friends but it’s a hard winter and frankly, I’m too busy saving the world.

Hello everybody!
I meant to post this song a few weeks ago and somehow never got around to it. This is the 1st song I wrote in 2012 titled, appropriately enough, “happy new year”. Well, better late than never!
The 1st file is an MP3 and 2nd file is a quick video I made using the actual fireworks that I experienced celebrating 2012 New Year’s. The cool thing about those fireworks is that it’s the 1st time I’ve ever been above the fireworks looking down and on occasion many of the blasts exploded on the same floor as our hotel suite, overlooking downtown Hamburg.
Anyway, I hope you like this song. Admittedly I was a little insecure about it but I tested it with a few friends and everybody said it was cool. So, there you have it. Happy new year!

I was told to remove the content I recently produced and published here on MY WEBSITE which documented my first Casting Show experience. It was harmless enough. Basically video of my long train journey, audio from my singing moment and relevant images. Plus, the tail-end of some girl that sang before me and didn’t make it to another round.
Anyway, I NEVER READ the DOs and DON’Ts and documenting and sharing ones own personal experience is a DON’T apparently. Therefore, the content is not visible to the public. I do not subscribe to Censorship and in this case, I’ll take blame for not reading the fine print, as it were.

Yeah, I tweeted a few days ago about getting off my ass and trying out one of the um-teen Casting Shows dominating the planets entertainment spectrum. It seems to be about the only way to reach a load of people since Goddess knows record companies aren’t doing a damn thing developing markets for artists. At any rate, I DID IT and now when I bitch about it (as I have and will continue) I can speak first hand, LOL!
Here I am off to AND THE WINNER IS. My journey is all in German folks but the images will still give you an idea what a nightmare this whole entertainment system really is. Pity that the brilliant veterans that have already paid their industry-dues for decades, still have to result to this. I sure met enough of them while I was there! Hang in there gang! Don’t let the hordes of whining, talentless Teens bitching and moaning about how long they’ve waited and wanted and dreamed and worked for their stardom. Can I puke now?
